Subscription Update Obituary

     Doris M. (Madelle) Boulanger 81 of 98 Maple St., died Thursday, Nov. 21 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness.

     Her husband of 38 years, Edward J. Boulanger died in 1987. She leaves her son Edward F. Boulanger and his partner Patricia “Tish” Gagne of Charlton, two grandsons; Edward F. Boulanger II of East Haven, Ct. and Kyle J. Boulanger of Douglas, a special niece Phyllis Deustch of Wisc., and cousin Mary Spencer of Holyoke, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son Franklin J. Boulanger in 2009 and her brothers; Clarence, Donald, Wilfred, Francis and Franklin Madelle.

     Born in Leicester, she was the daughter of Frank J. and Guilda M. (Desoimier) Madelle.

     Doris was a shoe worker at the former Klevin Shoe Co. of Spencer and No.Brookfield where she worked for 21 years. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and making puzzles.

     A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mary, Queen of the Rosary Food Pantry, 60 Maple St., Spencer, Ma. 01562.
