Subscription Update Obituary

     Constance A. “Connie” (Jones) Connolly, 81, of Worcester, died Monday, January 28, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital after being stricken ill at home.
She leaves her husband of 58 years, James H. Connolly; three children, Kevin R. Connolly of Worcester, Nancy E. Ceppetelli and her husband John of Webster, and James D. Connolly and his wife Andrea of Peabody; four grandsons, Daniel J. Ceppetelli of Newton, Bryan M. Ceppetelli of Webster, James C. Connolly and Evan D. Connolly, both of Peabody; and several nieces and nephews. Her sister Nancy E. Jones and her brother Edward F. Jones III predeceased her.
Connie was born in Haverhill, daughter of Edward F. and Agnes (Roberts) Jones. She lived most of her life in Worcester. She was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School.
She was a switchboard operator at Quinsigamond Community College for 20 years, before retiring. Previously, she was a switchboard operator for the Worcester Public Schools and the New England Telephone Co.
Connie enjoyed many vacations on Cape Cod. She was devoted to her family and loved the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Calling hours are Thursday, January 31 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral will be Friday, February 1 from the funeral home with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
