Subscription Update Obituary

     Barbara (Berglund) Goodwin, 90, died on Friday, November 23, 2012, at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, in Goffstown.
     Mrs. Goodwin was born on November 28, 1921, in Cambridge, MA, the daughter of the late John and Alice (Graham) Berglund. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Douglas Goodwin who died in 1980. Barbara resided in Spencer, MA, for most of her married life and after her retirement moved to Bedford, NH with her family.
     She graduated from The Forsyth School for Dental Hygiene,and was a dental hygienist working until her retirement, in the office of Dr. Maurice Martel of Holden, MA.
     Members of her family include; her two sons, Alan Goodwin, of Pittsfield, NH; Mark Goodwin, of Boca Raton, FL; and daughter, Judy Wright, of Williamsburg, VA; four grandchildren; Timothy Wright, of Washington, DC; Matthew Wright, of Arlington, VA; Joshua Goodwin, of Haddem, CT; and Amber Goodwin, of Pittsfield, NH; and one great grandchild, William Wright, of Washington, DC.
     A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 1:00-2:00 PM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. A private burial will take place in Worcester Memorial Park, in Paxton, MA at a later date.
     The family expresses their deepest appreciation to the Hillsborough County Nursing Home who gave Barbara excellent care and comfort in her final years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Barbara’s memory to The Alzheimer’s Association , 5 Bedford Farms Drive, Suite 201, Bedford, NH 03110.
